I wouldn't mind listening to some Emmylou Harris albums. Any suggestions on where to start?
Any with Albert Lee might be a bonus.

The one I was listening to yesterday (Evangeline) is among my favorites and that one features Mr. Lee on guitar and mandolin. Another great one with Lee is Blue Kentucky Girl.

I'd also highly recommend the albums Pieces of the Sky and Elite Hotel both of which feature the legendary James Burton on guitar. There's also Luxury Liner, a great album (first with Lee I believe) which contains Harris' beautiful cover of Townes Van Zandt's "Pancho & Lefty"

I think I may have underrated this album.
I never disliked it and it "Taneytown" rocks but I'm starting to appreciate it more as a full album these days.
Would have to put it towards the very top of his post-prison work.

Taneytown sounds great. I think it has a Neil Young vibe to it.

Telephone Road is a road in Houston known for prostitutes, among other things.

Yeah, "Taneytown" has a very Crazy Horse guitar sound going, which is a good thing.
The other great one on this album is "Here I Am" which sounds like it could have just as easily been a Ramones' song.

First listen to Malkmus' new one.
It sounds, well, like a Stephen Malkmus album (I mean that in a complimentary fashion).

Much more proud to share a birthday with Sonny Sharrock than I am with former President LBJ or Pee Wee Herman. I just wish Sonny was still around to celebrate his birthday and make more music.
