Funny that you posted Glossary, as this just arrived:

    Glossary - Feral Fire
I now see why you like them. They have a great sound!
    I'll be getting more.

    Also new:

    Joni Mitchell - Hejira
I'm not a huge Joni fan, but this album has Larry Carlton on guitar and Jaco Pastorious on bass!

Gillian Welch - Hell Among the Yearlings

Love that album. Listened to some of it on my ride home from work. Would have listened to more but every time I put that one on I wind up listening to "Save Your Money For the Weekend" about three or four times in a row.

Gillian Welch and David Rawlings - Snow On Albuquerque
A collection of live performances. Rawlings is quite an accomplished guitarist.

Doc & Merle Watson - Two Days in November

    Spock's Beard - X
Still my favorite from them. Also listened to Snow last night, but X is hard to beat.

Tears For Fears - Everybody Loves A Happy Ending
Certainly not another Big Chair album. Some very well written and produced pop songs with a nice dose of Beatles here and there.

^^ Warning, if you like that Dawes album, it can become addictive.

Two listens, and it hasn't caught much traction. A few songs are really good, but most feel a bit weak, almost boring.
I'll give it a few more rotations to see if it blossoms.

It took me a few go-rounds with Dawes as well. The first time I don't recall getting past the first two songs before I was bored. Eventually I think I just left it on while I was working and it grew on me. Now I wind up seeking it out when I can't figure out what to listen to.

Funny how some of the albums that took time to "get", end up becoming the one you'll listen to for years.
(which is why I'll give it a few more spins)

Yup, that's usually why unless something is just truly awful and I know I'll never like it no matter how many listens I give it, I tend to give things multiple chances across a period of time. Sometimes I end up hearing it differently. Sometimes not. Even with Dawes, I still haven't warmed up to their other album as much as this one. I like it, but I don't gravitate towards it.
