    An edited version of:

I've decided I'm going to go to the library more and copy a lot of CD's, in some cases editing out the extra dreck.

This one has more of late period second Miles Davis 60's quintet feel to it, akin to the Miles in the Sky era sound. Aside from Douglas' entrancing trumpet, Uri Caine provides all kinds of interesting input on the Fender Rhodes, and saxophonist Chris Potter works beautifully with Douglas.

Oh, and did I mention that this one has a guest guitarist named Frisell? There's no project he can't fit right into.

    Marc Ribot's Spiritual Unity
    Live - Nov 6, 2006
    Barcelona, Spain

A strong contender for my favorite of Marc's projects. This band was created to pay tribute to both the music and improvisational approach of Albert Ayler. They succeed in great measure.

    Personnel:

    Marc Ribot - guitar
    Henry Grimes - double bass
    Roy Campbell - trumpet
    Chad Taylor - drums
