I know what I'll be watching when I get home.

He (Hall) doesn't sing with them though, does he?

Mostly backing vocals with a few lead lines here and there. You might be surprised. He can sound pretty good when sticking to soul. His house band is tight.

It wasn't too bad. I'd have preferred it without Darryl, but he was pretty unobtrusive, and Sharon is so mesmerizing I kinda forgot he was there anyway. Thanks for finding that.

Aside from the reverbed-out 80s drum sound, that album never gets old for me.

That's one hell of a day of music right there! Except for the Mould which I've not heard yet, I love all of those albums, and I suspect I will love the Mould too since I loved Hüsker Dü and Sugar.

    First listen.

Chalk this band up as another that's been around for years that I completely missed the boat on. This new release got so many good reviews from critics I respect that I had to check it out.

I may need to check them out since I missed them when they were around.
Marquee Moon looks like a good place to start.

Marquee Moon is the ONLY place to start. The other two albums are both very good and I listen to them a lot, but Marquee Moon, there are still plenty of weeks that I listen to it nearly every day.

Surfing with the Alien - Joe Satriani.

I've only just got into the uber-shredder's virtuoso style guitarists.... Vai, Satch and Johnson, but boy have I missed out. Jeff Beck's verison of Nadia blew me away when i first heard it.
