Just ordered a new Gibson es 330 L sunburst which should arrive here next wednesday .
Like the fact it has p90 pickups always thought they sounded great but always let them pass me by . Have a Epiphone casino which will sound close but the Gibson has a longer neck a bit more fret access and the neck is fatter as well .
Think after this Im done !

Carpe diem, brother, cause you don't know how many diems you have left to carpe.
Far too well. And I am not alone with that one.Originally Posted by g6120

They will sound a bit different as the pickup placement is not exactly the same . The bridge pickup on the es 330 is closer to the neck than the casino which does effect the tone to a certain degree and the neck is a bit larger more of the late 50s vintage while the casinos is much like the 60s vintage . Longer neck will increase playabillity on lower frets .Originally Posted by just strum

I don't think my ears would notice the difference.Originally Posted by g6120
I've had discussions on other forums about the selection of guitars. Recently had one guy that was considering spending about $900 on an LP or buying three Agile, all the same guitars, just different finishes.
Since my collection is limited, I try to make sure whatever the current guitars I have, they have variety.
Since this latest gave you enough variety and your wife bought into it (nice one), I guess all is good.
