Default Mooger Fooger - Murf (have you heard these before?)

    Hi Everyone,

I heard this effect a while back when I visited Moog's site. They're making a line of guitar effects now called Moogerfooger that are very interesting. This particular one that I like is called the Moogerfooger "Murf". Here's a link to a place where you can hear some sounds from it:

It's kind of like a phase shifter, tremolo, and arpegiator all in one. It creates some very interesting sounds for guitar or synth. It makes the guitar sound more like it was processed with some weird time-based effects in Pro Tools or something. I've been thinking about getting one of these Murf effects but they're a little pricey. It would be great for recording though. You could create all kinds of cool textures with this effect that would sound more like it came from a keyboard or something.

Sounds VERY good Jim.. so you got g.a.s now?
I can't say that I've given up on a flanger cause I've never liked the effect either. I also can't say the same about Tremolo. I hate them both equally. - Tone2TheBone 2009

    SuperSwede,

There's so much good gear out there for musicians these days, it's easy to get G.A.S. I purposely avoid going to the music store so that I'm not reminded of new gear that I could make use of. :-)

Also, you want to avoid surfing the web. Especially the fret.net
