Cool, I love sunbursts and don't have one yet. If my Hagstrom was not red, it was going to be tobacco sunburst (I hate that color name but love the color). I look forward to seeing some beautiful guitars here.

Nice guitars, but nothing to contribute. I did go to a music store at lunch today (found one less than 10 minutes from work) and they had a ES335 that would fit nice in this thread, but $$$$$ ($3500). It was a true US Gibson made in Nashville.

Is this a burst? Does it qualify?
I know this one does because it was called a Silverburst when it was being marketed.
I forgot about this one. I still have mine but no photo.

Close enough. I'm saying that because I'm afraid you'll start a "Purple Guitar Thread" and post 6 or 8 more....Originally Posted by Spudman

All I have is my '83 Strat
and my Danelectro Baritone which is a blue burst but I don't have a decent photo of.

I had a pawnshop chance at one of those freaky faceplate-input Strats back in the '90's and probably shoulda snapped it up. Sigh. Another missed opportunity.Originally Posted by hubberjub

I love it. It sounds and plays much better than my 1991 American Standard Strat. The best $400 guitar I've purchased (yet).Originally Posted by Brian Krashpad

Spud...the Casino is an '05 Peerless (Korean). A lucky catch.
SVL... The Rick? 27 years young, Rick's 1st attempt to market a reissue of the Harrison model that wasn't quite true to vintage specs (the tailpiece a glaring mismatch and Autumnglo was an option I chose vs. the true redder 'Fireglo' of Harrison's, but it's priceless. With the Hofner bass and Casino, I've got my poor-man's 'Beatles' lineup (sort of...not really authentic) The M6SW is a top notch mando, Korean build: solid carved maple back & sides, solid AAA carved spruce top. It rings.
Believe it or not this is a 'burst (albeit a "have to look so hard it may as well not be" black/dark brown burst). It's impossible to photograph the colour gradation.
The slightly orangey cherryburst of my Dot
And for something more traditional, the old-style Gibon 'burst of my J45 (please ignore the blonde tele)
