    Default Seriously considering this baby!

This is being sold by a guy on an Australian guitar forum. He wants $150AUD (currently $120 USD) with the case. It's a Squier Affinity Telecaster, he bought in 2004, so I'm guessing it's from around 2003. He's going to give me a few more pics, as he says theres some chips in the finish, not that this is a biggie. I'm thinking it'd be cool to refinish it in Vintage Blonde, with a parchment pickguard and all gold hardware, and put some Tonerider pups in there.

Well I bought it. $175 posted, case included. I also bought a set of Tonerider pups, a Vintage neck and a Classic Hot bridge. I think eventually I'll refinish it in Vintage Blonde, like the CV teles.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the Butterscotch finish. It'll look much better once it's blonde.

I shall post some clips, I bought some Tonerider pups for her.

Kiwi, I personally love the butterscotch and black look. So I would leave it. But it is your project. Congrats! It will look nice either way!

I liked it for a while, but I'm not sure. A new finish would do it good anyway, it has a fair few bits of damage on the back. Not relicing, very ugly damage.

Different strokes for different folks! If I bought a Vintage Blonde one, I'd want to strip it down and refinish it transparent butterscotch!

BTW, what kind of pickups did you get for it? :

    Yes, ok, very funny DVM...

More Butterscotch lovin' eh? I guess I'll have to make a decision after I see it in person.
