I was working on triads and found something interesting. So, is that chord progression workable?

I haven't tried yet, but I noticed this looking at the progression. Each chord is the chord of the third of the previous chord. One thing I know, this structure is used frequently in chord progressions as a 'stepping' sequence; the effect is that the next chord repeats 2 of the notes of the previous chord, but introduces a new note to the timbre.
Yea, that's what it is.
EDIT: maybe I should expand on it. I changed chords by moving one note at a time.
C - xx555x - GCE
Em - xx545x -GBE
G - xx543x - GBD
B. - xx343 - FBD
That's one example.

Man, that's not all, I wonder anyone did this.
C - xx555x
Em- xx545x
G - xx543x
Bdim - xx343x
Dm - xx323x
F - xx321x
Am - xx221x
C - xx201x
I got all the chords (triads) of C major from C to C by moving one note at a time. Neat.
