    Default New to the Fret...

    Hi all,

Just the obligatory introduction I suppose...

My name is David, living in Oxfordshire, England at the moment, but originally hailing from Glasgow.

Have been playing the guitar about 6 years now, just started playing with customisation and modding recently.

Currently playing an Eko 100 series electro acoustic (lovely old Italian built (60's?) model), Yamaha FG-403MS acoustic, and finally awaiting delivery of an Epiphone Special II.

I'm very much into rock and metal, but my playing style always sounds more jazzy / bluesy. That's what comes of practicing on the old Eko for the first three years of learning I guess!

    phoenix, welcome to the forum.

I'm not familiar with your guitars, but would be interested in seeing some pics.

    Sure thing...

The above is the Eko - post my fiddling with it. And below is the original minus a few parts...

And finally, below is the Yamaha - giant great thing, but it makes a lovely noise.

Don't have my Epiphone yet, but I'll link an image...

Hope these pics aren't too big and don't take too long to load.

Hi, David. If you ever need original parts for your Eko, these guys should have them as they bought up the factory.

Welcome aboard, David. I think you'll find that we're a helpful, friendly and somewhat sarcastic bunch here. Good luck with your touchpad modding!

    Welcome to the gang.

An old Eko Ranger, 12 string dread was a brief member of the family. Just last week I spotted a Eko version of a 335 in a local pawn shop. Cool guitars.

Welcome David! Is there a story behind the graphic on that Epi Special? It's certainly colorful.

Cheers for the warm welcome everyone.

The graphic on the Epiphone is a band called Family Force 5's tour logo from a recent tour - the Dance Rawr Dance tour.

If you haven't heard of them - check them out. Doesn't get much better.
