    Default Vintage guitar case question

    Hi.
Anyone have tips on cleaning old guitar cases? Particularly getting that 'been in the cellar for 30 years' smell out? I recently inhereted an old 'chip board' case that's quite nice and usable, but smells like an old wet basement. Thanks much!

Well, a couple of days sitting outside & open in direct sunlight is a good place to start.....

Oh, it's open and breathing. I live in upstate NY - 'direct sunlight' is mighty uncommon.

To get that smell out of it, you might buy some coffee finely ground and leave in there for a couple of days. ( in an open box of course, do not litter the coffe! ).
