    Cool NGD x 2: A couple of oddballs.....

    Here are a couple of oddballs for the collection. Both play exceeding well after a complete setup, fret level, and fret polishing.

    First up is "Red Smoke"! My son-in-law does custom car paint jobs...so I gave him a body and told him to surprise me. Wow! It
    turned out beautiful. Kinda like Kurts pix, mine just don't do it justice. It's a blood/wine red body with black smoke swirled thru it.
    Your standard Strat set up with GFS-quality parts. She plays sweet too!

    ================================================== =========================

    Next up is "Lost Souls"! Some will remember that I sent a pickguard to an artist friend of mine in NYC and told him to "use his imagination" and
    here is what he sent back. He calls it "Lost Souls" and so do I. Yes, I know.....it's not everyone's cup o' tea. But it's just offbeat enough that I enjoy it.
    And it plays sweet too!

    ================================================== =========================

    There you have the two new eclectic additions to my herd!

    Those look really cool. What kind of bridge is on the Lost Souls Strat?

    Lookin good PS, I used to do custom painting like that and it is very touchy. If you get a piece of dirt or a problem anywhere through each coat it can make you have to do it all over again. Challenging work and a job well done by your son-in-law.

    Both very nice!
    That red/smoke is beautiful, and the Lost Souls finish looks warm, worn, and comfy!

    Man! That red smoke is really cool. Is he ready to start taking orders? Otherwise I wouldn't have put that on the forum. Everybody is going to want one. I know I do.

    I love the lost souls art too. It really captures it.

    Tell him he did a great job (both guys)...and see if I can get a body done in the red smoke too.

    Both are great looking!

    I like the way the Lost Souls one looks like finger bleed all over your scratch plate until you look closely!

    Red Smoke is my favourtie though. Very nice custom paint job.
