Default Washburm T24 4 string. Good Buy?

Been thinking about this guitar I found on E-Bay. It's a used Washburn T24 4 string for $240.00. What do you think? Good or bad buy? It's from a store and they supposedly have an on site Luthier who gave it his approval. These are the features:
    Stained mahogany body
Maple/mahogany multi laminate neck thru body
    Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlay
    Grover die cast bass tuners
    24 frets
    34" scale
    Passive J style pickups
    Colors: Natural Matte

That is the best I have ever seen for $240.00 neck-thru.
Looks to be in great although I am curious why it is so cheap what year is do you know? For that amount of money heck I do not think you can go wrong for such well made bass.

brand new Musician's Friend sells it for $449.00. Half price sounds good to me.

They're reportedly pretty good basses although the pickups have been described as somewhat weak. I'd think putting a set of Nordy's or Aeros in one would make it come alive.

They often go pretty cheap and that seems about an average price.
