Default How About Some Graphic Ads/Wallpapers?

i chipped over to UG to see what was going on there, and they have this new graphic image been designed with Hugh Gee their mascot, i was thinking maybe one of the fretters might have some skills in PSP8 or photoshop and be able to make one for the fret.

    heres UG's example:

Guitars: Ibanez RG420EG, Harrier Mistral Ice White Tele
Amps: Hughes & Kettner Edition Blue 15R (w/ 8" Celestion), Marshall Valvestate Mk.I 8100 Head, Blackheart BH5H Head
    Cabs: Marshall 4x12 (4 x Celestion Pro 12")
FX:Line 6 Floor POD, BOSS 7-band GE-7, BOSS Mega Distortion MD-2, Vox V847a Reissue Wah, Danelectro Cool Cat Drive

Just another Rig Sig Jig, Dig?

    So are you thinking TheFret
    1.needs a satanic-looking little cartoon mascot, or
2.that someone here could make one that looks like the one you posted, or just
3.that TheFret needs a mascot of some type, and we need another contest to see what type of mascot would be appropriate?

not satanic by any means. i mean the idea is pretty good.

obviously, ours would be less aimed at the 'brootalz' kids and more about guitars and the things that are enjoyed here. It could be as simple as a poster or wallpaper focussed around the thefret.net logo.

    Oh, OK.
I was just looking at the horns, little demons, skull guitar, fires burning, etc. in the pic...........wasn't sure what that was all about.

tall the horns and stuff is because of the 'brootalz' kids who make up the majority of UG these days.

I don't know the little yellow hooker thing with no hands might be a good addition

    thats yuji.

for some reason, the mod team at UG turned the innocent and disgruntled mascot, turned him into a devil and turned his girlfriend into a hooker.

ive seen the original idea, very different indeed.

What about something like this with no yellow hand-less hookers? Can't recall where I got this image from but it'd been my desktop without the logo for a week or so.

Guitars: Squier Strat, Squier Telecaster, Warmoth Telecaster.

FX: MI Audio Blues Pro, Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Signature Wah, Sovtek Big Muff, Danelectro Fabtone Flanger.

    Amp: Fender Hot Rod Deluxe

nice touch with the logo on it.wonder if when getting designs for a logo this could be considered although getting the Strat on a shirt might be a stretch but not impossible with graphic art these days.

If you're going to use a photo, make sure you have permission. An "I don't know where I got it" photo is liable to be under copyright. OK to use for a desktop, but for a banner it could be trouble.
