    Default Hot Head Distortion clip

New Digitech Hot Head distortion clip - http://www.dolphinstreet.com/video_clips/video-23.php

I am getting rid of the pedal so I thought I'd record something with it for the last time.

What was it that you didn't like about the hot head? Just curious.

    Sounds great with the hellhound.

Thanks Leonidas, I like it fine, I just have too many pedals like this. It is also geared towards heavier rock tones than I ever do (except for video clips).

I'm giving it to one of my keen bass guitar students!

I forgot to add - this video clip uses Flash - for all of you Quicktime haters!

    Hey Rob,

Maybe you remember my thread about character and playing. Well, you add the fact of tone that affects your playing.

Don't give that pedal away. The clip was awsome and I bet that it was the tone of this little thing makin' you play that way.

What were the lyrics of that song again.....????

Thanks Jimi! I will not need the pedal though - I can get these sounds (and even heavier tones) from my Vox Valvetronix. I am using my Hellhound for more bluesy and groovy stuff, not metal. You are right though, the tone made me play that way! My student will be impressed he's getting this one. It is a cheap, common pedal anyway.
