To me Telecaster are the Real Deal, don't really know why but the sound and the attack always attract me more than any other guitars. I had a 335 in the past and have currently a reissue 57 strat but nothing sound as good and polyvalent as my Japan Esquire.
I would love to buy an old Thinline custom Telecaster this gonna be my next purchase, I'm wondering where could I find a great one
The great thing is that my Tele can be play in the soul band and still cut trough the mix even with a keyboard player and a full horn section (5 people) and sound also terrific as a slide guitar (mainly with my blues trio)
