Try one of the pocket pods, usable clean tones. After you decide what floats your boat, dive into the pedals.

You bet. The monkey is smooth and bad @ss all in one pedal. One of the coolest things I ever bought (and from a fellow fretter as well ).Originally Posted by sunvalleylaw

Well with a name like Maxifunk, I'm thinking you're going to need a wah wah pedal. There's no real funk without wah.
WHICH ONE you get is a matter of considerable debate. For me, in the realm of pure funky wah tone, the only real choice is the Budda Budwah. I've had one in my chain for over a year and it is funky as all get-out. It doesn't have lots of crazy features or options, but the tone itself is really incredible.
Other than that there's a whole range of Dunlop Cry Baby wahs you can test-drive to your heart's content. And I've always been a fan of a Vox Clyde McCoy as well.
Happy hunting!!!
I enjoyed the Digitech Tone Driver few years ago and still use it sometimes..
Danelectro Cool Cat TO ,Drive,Vibe, Fuzz or Tremolo are realy nice for cheap also..

+ 11'ty on that! If more people had a chance to test drive or A/B one, they'd be selling like hotcakes. Very funky vocal tone with pure bypass. VOX makes good un's too.Originally Posted by Mister Boston

I think I am going to go with the boss ME-25 @ $199.00 it is a lot nicer to my pocket!! Line 6 M9 & M13 looked very cool but I'll try the boss 1st and go from there.

I ....um....3rd the M9. Easy to dial in a close tone and it grows with your playing.

is $145 a good deal on a Boss GT-6?

I'll take that as a yes then?
By the way, I traded my MK Patriot last week, and the guy sold it today on CL for $185, someone got a really nice guitar for $185.
WOW that is a crazy price for that axe.Originally Posted by Commodore 64

and went for $399.00 USD. So they are selling it for half of the brand new price.
I guess its a good deal I just wonder could you find a newer model for the same price? Or just add $50.00 and get the ME-25.
I am sort of on the fence if it is a good deal or not.

My first pedal was the Boss TU-2. But other then that mine was the BD-2 Blues Driver. For my purpose it get thye job done. I know there are some people who believe that Boss pedals suck tone but the two I have (DS-1) haven't had a problen with either. beside both were cheap and sound great.
My BD2 makes my ears bleed. Now, that's at least 75% my playing, but I do tend to bleieve those who say it is quite ice-icky on the high end.
