Default Music Man 5 string HH

I played one last Saturday through an Ampeg combo....

The absolute sweetest tone and playability I have ever seen in a bass, period...

    2 thumbs up

I'm guessing that it was a Sting Ray? Musicman makes great stuff.

I have yet to play a MM. They have a great rep, that's for sure.

Oh yeah, after a good many years, I finally came around and got a MM Sterling. It's a pretty sweet bass.

I had never given them a try in the past, mostly due to the teardrop-shaped pickguard that I didn't like. But then I finally played one and was duly impressed with the quality and tone of it. I can overlook the PG shape for the great playability.
