Now Slash and Marshall Amplification have joined forces to re-create that revered *"Appetite Tone" with the announcement of the new Marshall AFD amplifier.

    Yes Please!!

Bookmarked to follow the progress with much excitement and anticipation.

I like the idea Slash is trying to convey of having a built in boost for solo's (screaming solos?). I'd be really interested to see how they decide to implement that. My Peavey Ultra's "crunch" and "ultra" channels share a common EQ, but the voicing is different enough for it to sound strange if I try to use the ultra channel as lead boost in the way I'd use, say my TS or OCD.

However my old Peavey Series 400 bass amp has built in fuzz (actually so excellent I've been thinking of reverse engineering it) and distortion (not as great) but you can totally play clean punchy bass then stomp the switch and its the same tone wrapped in a woolly blanket of fuzz.

Anyway, yeah, I'll be in the store as soon as one of these arrives to give it a run for sure.
