Pretty cool! But if the band doesn't technically exist, where does the cash go from buying it?
Too bad the band is pretty much gone by now...

Well, me probably - after all I'm the composer/mixer/recorder/producer/lyricist and the other lyricist is already dead.
But, it's kind of a moot point. I'd be surprised if it gathered any revenue payable...I don't think they yield proceeds unless they sell over 20 bucks or so, and I don't think anyone has bought a song at least yet. And I doubt many will either. Haven't even bothered to give 'em my account data even. So far zero downloads. I've got the link in my email sig and Facebook for promotion, but I strongly doubt it'll get any buyers that way - I only have maybe 200 people in my circle of acquaintances and I don't think there's any who'd buy my music, if any music really. They all just download pirated music.
Besides, there's not much promotion for a dead band...and even for those I've promoted, you need roughly a hundred thousand listens to get one to buy it, anyway...I have very little expectations of ever selling any music. But at least it's possible, in theory.

Pardon my ignorance, but...I take it this is your former band? That's pretty cool that it's actually on Amazon.
