Default The Gods Are Tempting Me Once Again!!!

Ok, so this is the deal and I need you Gibby experts advice on this one once again.

A 2005 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top with Mini-Humbuckers and slim 60's neck for $1599.99. I should be able to talk them down another $150.00 to $200.00.

My question once again is that a good deal, great deal, just an average deal or wait until later deal?

I'll have to pull a very large rabbit out of my hat to pull this off but then again I think its time to call in some markers. LOL The guitar is just beautiful what a looker this Goldie is.

It looks very similar to this axe on the bay.
JUST as clean except the mini's on the one I am looking at the pups are smooth no poles.

That is one great piece of musical gear! First of all, it's no fake. The condition is great and I believe it when he says he played it only in the studio.

I am a Gold Top afficionado myself, there's only few more beautiful things out there in the gitah world. This one looks really beautiful.

There are a lot of people who prefer the mini humbuckers, because they sound totally awesome! I had an offer on a 1973 with mini HBs, but I waited too long and then it was sold :-( They are sooooo versatile!

I'd say the deal is good and you will fall in love once that baby is in your hands.

Although the Edwards is a fine instrument, too I'd always suggest to go for the real thing.

These are Lollars but you can get the idea. Great sounding pickups, and I am going to change my P90 Vintage icon GT to Mini hums in the near future.
For that kind of money I would be very interested.

    Jazzy as well.

I'd say that if you can get the LP for about $1300, that's a real good deal. I have always liked those mini humbuckers. My first Les Paul was a Deluxe Gold Top and I always regretted selling it.
