I tried them, and will only use the V-pick. I thought that they would be too thick, but was pleasently surprised at how comfortable they were. They also improved my tone, when soloing.

I'm a V-Pick convert as well. Never imagined I'd ever prefer thick picks over the .88mm Dunlops I'd been using for so long, but I love V-Picks. I started off with their "Tradition" picks and soon discovered the larger 4.10mm "Dimension" hybrid pick which is hands down my favourite (both buffed and un-buffed versions). Despite it's size it's extremlely comfortable to use and you get incredible tone.
