    Default NGD - Gretsch G5122DC

Allow me to present my new Gretsch G5122DC. Took this pic after I changed the strings and adjusted the intonation. Sorry for the crappy pic. Looks much better in person. Very lightweight and flawless in it's construction. The Gretchbuckers are okay. I've read that some don't like them and prefer to swap them for TV Jones pickups, but I can get some great sounds after tweeking the settings on my amp. Down the road I may swap the pickups, but it's not a priority right now. Alas, I couldn't get a case for it, but it fits very well in a Guardian Dreadnought case. Overall, I'm really impressed with the Gretsch. These guitars certainly have a certain vibe that you just can't get with most other guitars.

Very cool! I like those a lot, and enjoyed messing around with that big, heavy duty trem on the one I played at the store. Nice!

Yeah, it's a good looking guitar for sure. Not heavy at all. It's a large sized guitar, but it's a hollowbody so it weighs next to nothing. Sounds huge once plugged in.

Oooo, very nice! I think a good hollow body like this should be an essential part of a complete breakfast.

I keep eyeing the orange 5120 each time at the local mom & pop shop. Unfortunately, they also have a Brian Setzer just above it, which causes even more GAS pains!
