Default Mr Sandman - Fingerpicking Gretsch

My rendition of Chet Atkin's "Mr Sandman". Hope you like that, folks. Thanks for watching and take care.

Really nice playing. You make that Gretsch sing.

Hmmmm.....could you discuss how your fingers pluck the strings. Looking at the video it seems (esp with the middle finger) that you pick at a heck of an angle, no where near straight on. Was this how you were taught or is it something you came up with on your on? Does it give you a certain texture to your sound that you want?

It comes naturally. Never took lessons. Actually, never thought about what you say myself until I read your post, so go figure!! Thanks you very much for watching, man!
