Hey e'budy
I have an old 'gorilla' ss amp that I normally wouldn't bother with
but it's a bit rare as it has 60 watts rms, doesn't weigh a ton plus
the tone is much like an old bandit 65 which ain't bad.
The input jack appeared to quit so I took it apart to check it out.
The jack was ok so I so I scratched my head then asked for advice
and was told that the problem is probably a cracked solder connection
at the jack leads on the board or the board itself so I reheated the leads and that didn't fix it so I started checking the board itself and sure enough one
of the leads on the master volume pot was cracked at the board.
I soldered a bridge (big glob of solder) between the crack and the
terminal and put it together enough to test it and it worked perfectly.
It's now completely together and working.
All together is was a good experience.
