Hey hey, nothing wrong with bass!
That JP's a real beauty!
Tone report?
Well I've been gone for awhile as I went back to playing bass exclusively for the last couple months. I've come to realize that I need to have a bass and a guitar and a piano fill my musical cup!
Found a GREAT deal on CL - Epi Joe Pass Emperor. Beautiful guitar, new condition, great tone. Fantastic guitar...so you know I had to come and share my NGD pics

Very nice. Congrats. I want to come over and play it.
"No Tele For you." - The Tele Nazi
Ha! Tele-ish now inbound.
Nice range with an excellent thick heavy jazz tone using both pickups and tone rolled off a bit. It's a Jazz machine first but blues work just fine too. The full hollow sound is very smooth and not too bright/punchy.Originally Posted by NWBasser

Of course when I went back to bass I sold of my fender blues jr, so I only have the Line 6 Spider 15W amp...OMG it's better than nothing but pretty terrible! New amp in the near future for sure.
What's a good amp outside of the Fender lineup for a clean, jazz sound? (heading off to search the amp forum)

Carpe diem, brother, cause you don't know how many diems you have left to carpe.
Or else, just a Jazz Chorus. The real deal one.Originally Posted by poodlesrule

Jazz players aren't, in general, as picky about the whole tube vs. solid state debate. Some like it squeaky clean, and for that a solid state amph will do nicely!
The Jazz Chorus is a great choice. Fender makes a "jazz" amph in the Ultralight head / cab combo. Those are kinda pricey, though.
