For me the progressive album of the year is Spocks Beard's "X".
Can't stop listening to it. I'm really missing that one on the list. Too many obvious candidates who won the 2010 awards...

"A lot of people in the industry want to blame downloading for the state of the business. But I think if most music wasn't shit to begin with people wouldn't be downloading it for free," - Corey Taylor (Slipknot)
Ya, X is a great record. Instantly likable.
I love this tune.

Interesting list(s) on their site.
Kansas as a first year (2008) inductee sort of made me question their selection process a little. The complete absence of anything Italian I found especially troubling. I mean Kansas but no PFM? Banco del Mutuo Soccorso?
Osanna?
Nice to see that there are people out there who care about the music though.
