Nice! Real purty guitar, man.
No need to take it to a Authorized repair shop to change out knobs and a pickguard. It's so simple even I can do it, and I'm mechanically challenged.

And that'd be white hardware on a black guard too. It's hard to beat a good honest US 'strat. Lord knows I've tried and keep coming back to mine.Originally Posted by hubberjub

I was greatly encouraged and did do the work myself. I bought a few extra
springs too, so I have 2 silver and 3 black ones for a total of 5 springs.
I may just put a block of wood in there yet !!!!!
I have learned a lot about black guitars...........
1. Wash hands really well with soap and dry.
2. When done playing, use a separate rag to rub
down the metal and strings, and then use a silk
microfiber for the body only...after blowing any dust
off the body that may have accumulated, as to avoid
micro scratches that will add up over time. Keep the
silk microfiber in its own baggie so no dust gets on it
in the case.
3. Have Fun !!!
How'd I miss this the first time through? Nice "none-more-black" Strat!

I also have a black Strat, maple board, black PG. My cleaning regimen is a little different - after a few bar gigs, I hose off the spilled beer & sweat and put it back in it's case. Works for me.Originally Posted by CtGuy

I mean, no offense, but I don't really see why, like guitar players from Creed, or something like that, are on the cover of guitar magazines. Almost anybody can sit down and learn to play those songs.

That black treatment is drop dead gorgeous!
The white edge of the triple pick guard and the white numbers/hash marks on the knobs really grab the eye.

All right! Great job on the PG swap... it looks great. You have now stepped headlong into the world of Strat modding. Good luck with not getting addicted!

I always thought that the white PG/Wht covers looked especially plasticky and cheap. That black on black looks absolutely beautiful. Nice choice.
Congratulations!
