I just revisited the original thread and you brought up a good point, I missed commenting on. When you mentioned adjusting the neck from the pickup cavity. I never really thought about that. Is it possible to do?
I have one word of caution for you. I owned the FMT HH Tele and I didn't like it. It was really not very "tele" like and it had Jumbo Frets and a really flat 15 degree radius. I liked the pickup configuration with the two HBs and the push pull switch to get single coils but the thin body and neck made it feel almost toylike. I looked long and hard for a tele and tried about 25 of them. I finally got one of the CV Custom Teles. I would highly recommend one of those or the original CV 50s White. They are amazing guitars and are not in the price range of the MIMs or MIK. The FMT is made at the Cort Plant in Asia.
I would put it on Ebay or Craigslist. You will find no shortage of people who want that guitar. Then you could go looking for a tele.
In my search I went as high as the 52 Reissue and found it had some things I didn't like including the price tag.
It looks as if you are looking for an HB type tele, but I found they just sound like any HB guitar and not really like a Tele.
I just thought I would share my experiences with you.
