    A truly great talent. I was a big fan, his singing and social commentary were wonderful, and I remember how sad and hurt I was over the circumstances of his death. Thanks for the memories, Maxi. Everyone should watch at least that first video.....powerful stuff.

    Always loved guys like Marvin and Curtis for being able to infuse powerful soul with cogent socio-political commentary without being trite. I think that's part of why many of their "message songs" still resonate today.

    Yes yes. One of the top 10 albums of all time for sure. I can see why many people say it's number one, and I wouldn't argue.
