...and make sure it's LOADED. As mentioned in THIS THREAD, Gibson has come out with a Clapton "Beano" LP Standard, and they're starting to hawk it at MF. You know you're in trouble when they won't even quote a price, and refer you to a phone number where you can speak to one of their "Private Reserve guitar advisors". Yeah, right--probably to hook you up with a bank, so you can take out a second mortgage to pay for it....
For the independently wealthy among you:

And I like how it's gonna come in three varieties--funny, I only thought EC had one! Collect all three and be the envy of your (fellow psycho) friends.

The Law of Gravity is nonsense. No such law exists. If I think I float, and you think I float, then it happens.

EDIT: it's a Gibson. not that other brand.
One question for Gibson...
Guitar: Gibson SG Standard Natural Burst, Squier CV 50's Tele, Hell Guitars No. 2, Squier CV 50's Strat, Reverend Club King 290, Taylor 522e 12-Fret mahogany,
Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass Short Scale

Considering Gibson's long and illustrious history, the present-day management seems bent on destroying the company's future viability.
I wonder how putting Clapton's name on this guitfiddle affects his endorsement of Fender...
Again, this one's ridiculously overpriced (if it's $6,000), but we've come to expect that from Gibby.

Fender 2006 MIM Fender Stratocaster HSS in 3TS
Ibanez RG 570 with a bridge Invader

Hmm, this gives me an idea for a new thread....Originally Posted by Katastrophe
I always wonder who buys stuff like this. Nobody that I know can afford to blow $6K on something like this. For that much money it better be one incredible instrument.

I did hear that the MSRP is $6K. It is nice, though.

Guitars: Lots.
Amphs: More than last year.
Pedals: Many, although I go straight from guitar to amp more often lately.
There's one big problem with that guitar: it's not a Fender
Brian, I see you hated the stock pups, too...Originally Posted by Brian Krashpad

Those stock pups were obnoxiously hot..which led to obnoxious tone...
With these you can hear the guitar..the amp..the pick dynamics a lot better...rather than just pups screaming their guts out...
Looks like us Brits are stuffed again, £8K for a eric clapton guitar, come on Gibson stop ripping us off !
