Welcome to TheFret, UD, glad you found the place!
Where do you live? Any favorite gear you own (or want to own)?
Merry Christmas everyone! My name is Underdog but y'all can just call me Dog. I have been playing off and on for over 30 years. Might sound like a lot but I am a mediocre at best rhythm player never mind lead. I like classic rock, oldies, big band / swing, old school country, etc. I grew up listening to the great tunes of the 50s and 60s when I was a kid. My influences are the Beatles, Tom Jones, and Les Paul. I have been in a couple bands since high school but nothing to write home about.
I look forward to participating in discussions and if you guys have any questions, just ask!

The Law of Gravity is nonsense. No such law exists. If I think I float, and you think I float, then it happens.
Master Guitar Academy - I also teach via SKYPE.
Thanks for the warm welcome!
@oldguy: I don't really have any favorite gear. I am a fan of Gretsch and Gibsons even though I don't own any... yet. I am in the St. Louis metro east area so not real far from you.
You live in East St. Louis? In a fortress or something?
Welcome to the forum Dog. I get to St. Louis during the late summers. Maybe we can hook up sometime.

It is a toss up between a Gretsch Electromatic, Epi LP of some sort, and Casino. I am a firm believer that you don't have to shell out a bunch of money for a good guitar; you just have to be willing to play a bunch to find the one that is well built and feels best. P'ups can be replaced for a fraction of the cost of a a high end ax.
I just noticed the name as your user title. I wish King would have told what happened to Cuthbert and Alain. Great books!Originally Posted by Robert
I named our old dog Roland. We later acquired (funny how you always "acquire" them...) a black cat and named him Walter.

Sadly neither is with us anymore...
