Aside from the greats listed there are some young 'uns that influenced my playing, in no particular order they are:

Barenaked Ladies, love the rhythm guitar on this one.

    Finger Eleven

    Our Lady Peace

    Rhymes with Orange

    Classic (to me)

    jeff Healey Band

    Bachman Turner Overdrive (1974)

    April Wine
I realise they were mentioned, but this moved me as a pre-teen:
“Your sound is in your hands as much as anything. It’s the way you pick, and the way you hold the guitar, more than it is the amp or the guitar you use.” Stevie Ray Vaughan

I've made pretty good progress hanging out watching that big veiny guy teach guitar on the 'net.
I'd say that qualifies as an Influential (Swedish) Canadian Artist.

I attended a show by this stately gentlemen a year or two ago. He was a very strong influence on another influential canadian artist when he was a young man playing this song repeatedly on the jukebox in a diner in Falcon Lake near Winnepeg.

Big fan of Oscar Peterson. I guess I never knew he's Canadian. Good for him.

Another Oscar fan here that wasn't aware of his Canadian heritage.
