Pickup leads, that is. I'm preparing my Squier '51 for surgery (the pickguard is off and I'm surprised at how much the finish has faded). My Lace Sensors should be here tomorrow. I'd prefer not to shorten the lead to humbucker right away until I'm sure I like it. There's not much space in the body since it just as enough routing for the humbucker, single coil, and control panel. I thought about winding the leads around the underside of the pickup at least temporarily. Will I be in danger of the screws from the pickup digging into the leads? Since I have all those wires wound around there, aren't I just creating a big antenna to pick up hum?
