    I tjeck the plate voltage et is 470V thes is too heigh for a class a se amp.
    Problem Peavy winsor studio EL 34 bound out Help

    I thing i shut be around 270V.
    I think Peavy has installd the rong transformer HT

    I'm not sure what is correct for that amp, but Peavey does have great customer support. You should try to contact them.

    Kiteman.........thanks for posting that because what you said is exactly what I saw, no more than an hour after Spud posted. I wondered whether maybe all that mountain climbing in thin air had finally gotten to our Spud. Whew, close call!! lol

    Sorry DEBUC it looks as if we have no qualified amp techs available. It would be silly to put another 30 dollar tube in to have it blown. I would take Spudmans suggestion and see what the Peavey customer service can help with.

    Hi zman thanks my amp is not runing anyware i can wait,
    I traid lovering plate voltage to 250V and Rk= 100Ohm , amp sounds nice.
