Default Finally! Some good Gibson news!

Can you believe it? A great looking guitar with 60's neck profile in an affordable price range.

Check it out, it's G.A.S. worthy!

They are pretty cool for the price. They have hit the market here already and there is a thread on Guitars Canada about them. The poster ordered a GT and he is not happy with the multy piece back on them. The GT is not a dark back and the grain difference is quite prominent. These are chambered and I read a spec on the body it weigh on average 5.5 lbs. I would think that was without the neck. Any of my Chambered LPs are in the 7 to 8 lb range. It is pretty cool what they have done with the faux binding on the body. They simply left the sides of the maple top unstained, I think they are going for 849 on the US online retailers. They also have an SG.
    The Blues is alright!

The Gold Tops are backordered. They were supposed to be in stock today, but now they're saying April 10th. I have heard rumors on the web that Gibson didn't produce enough guitars to fill the pre-orders.

Those are a good deal for the money, it seems to me. They did that with a 50s Tribute last year, and they sold out almost instantly.

    Guitars: Lots.
    Amphs: More than last year.
Pedals: Many, although I go straight from guitar to amp more often lately.

$1,300 is about about 1,050 more than I'd consider paying for a guitar in this day and age.

I don't know where you could get a Gold top P90 Gibson guitar for that kind of money. I am sure they will be pretty damn good bang for the buck.
