Joe Pass vs. Epiphone neck
Hi All --
I was trying out a few different solid body and semi-hollow guitars at Guitar Center the other day when the salesman handed me an Epiphone Joe Pass to try out. I really wasn't looking for something like this, but wow did it feel good. Maybe not surprising as my only guitar now is a Gibson L-7 and the neck is similar.
I prefer the electronics and look of the Swingster. However, the Swingster didn't feel as good. I've read the Swingster has the same body and neck [1] as the Joe Pass, they have the same size frets, and both have rosewood boards. Does anyone know if there are actually differences between the Joe Pass and Swingster necks, or something else that might have made it felt so different? I've searched the web but can't find comparable specs for both models.
Thanks in advance!
