Got it downloaded 2 weeks ago but still haven't found the opportunity to fire it up.

Got it the day it came out. It comes with the same virtual gear as the "lite" version of Amplitube 2, which I already had. I was already pretty happy with those amps and effects. But I had a blast trying all the new stuff. Some of them are really great. I ended up buying the Princeton Reverb, Soldano Slo100 and the T Rex mudhoney. The Soldano is really versatile if you only want one. Clean, crunch and distortion all sound great. And the princeton just is magic with my Tele.

You get to try out any piece of gear for 2 days without any restrictions.

How does this compare to Guitar Rig? I'm trying to find something that's a good DAW for someone who's never used one.

    Guitars: Lots.
    Amphs: More than last year.
Pedals: Many, although I go straight from guitar to amp more often lately.
