As long as you are into technicians...
"It's always funny to me when people use the phrase "Best guitar player in the world". There are too many variables such as technique, uniqueness, emotional investment in the notes, etc. But If I had to pick one, it would be Tommy Emmanuel. Watching him perform can be a study in artistic and virtuosic human achievement."
Steve Vai
Check any of these out. Make sure you have something soft on the floor for your jaw to land on.

Good point - I guess I was in a technical mood today and found this quite inspiring. Tommy Emmanuel is an awsome talent also. I'm a fickle kinda guy, last week it was Joe Bonamassa, before that Andy Timmons...And the cyber Jams on here are giving me lots of inspiration too -Originally Posted by Spudman

And that my friend is the point of the forum, to keep us all inspired since nobody is throwing money at us as we so richly deserve.Originally Posted by Lev
We have some great technicians on here too like Robert, Jim, Swede etc.
Technically I have no idea what I'm doing but I sure do enjoy seeing and hearing the ones that do.
I think Insane Talent could become a good thread.

I have attended a Tommy Emmanuel concert and his talent on the guitar is unbelieveable. The thing that sets him apart is that the guitar is much more than just a string instrument in his hands. If he ever appears anywhere close to you go see him. You will not regret it.

Thanks! I needed that. This is some of the best country style picking I've seen in a long time. Reminds me of Steve Morris on steriods. Hard to imagine that.

The thing is that Tommy Emmanuel is not just a country picker, he can probably out-pick anyone in any genre. Here's his "Somewhere Over The Rainbow":
