Default Question about 50s wiring vs. modern

I've read the pros and cons of each at some point in the last few years, but I'll be danged if I can remember. I like my AL3K that I wired 50s style, due to the individual volumes when in the middle (both pickups) position, but I know that there are some drawbacks to this type of wiring. Could someone enlighten me? Tung? Anyone? Tung?

    Thanks!!!!

    Guitars: Lots.
    Amphs: More than last year.
Pedals: Many, although I go straight from guitar to amp more often lately.

Nobody? The reason I ask is that I am not sure which wiring I'll be using for my AL2000 project, and wanted to know the pros and cons of each.

Ah, thanks Ron. That makes sense. I wonder if a treble bleed mod would counteract the tone rolloff? Good info, I appreciate it.
