    Default Rory Gallagher - Laundromat

    Rory was a great player!

Stay tuned for a free lesson tomorrow on how to play a typical Rory Gallagher lick!

Saw him when he opened for Rush in the early 80s. Ted McKenna was on drums and Gerry McAvoy on bass. Smokin' hot set. I was right near the barricades about 5 feet to the left of Rory. I'd been listening to him for a couple of years prior so I knew his songs and he played a lot that I knew. He really had a great energy live. He also played through the same model JMP combo that I still have. Really a special talent.
