My friend just bought it, and said that he has been playing for 26 years and that he was surprised at how little he knew. He sees it as a challenge. Looks like fun to me, and can only be good for music in general.
I want it.
A friend just purchased this, and is pretty impressed. The PC port comes out in December, so I need to know if I should ask for this for Xmas. Anyone?

Guitars: Lots.
Amphs: More than last year.
Pedals: Many, although I go straight from guitar to amp more often lately.

Guitars:
Fender 2006 MIM Fender Stratocaster HSS in 3TS
Ibanez RG 570 with a bridge Invader
ESP M II Deluxe with a Tune-o-Matic bridge
Eleanor, the magical, mystical Road Worn wonder Tele
Blackstar HT Club 40
Looks interesting. It is nice to see a guitar game that actually promotes real playing.
I don't think this is my magic ticket into finally being allowed to have a console in the house (the future Mrs. FrankenFretter doesn't like video games), but I could probably get away with having it on my PC.

They have great instruction in all types of music. For metal, look no further than Andy James.

My son may get an Xbox, and I am looking at it. It might be a fun way to practice when I am bored trying to practice with myself or with youtube vids. Any one else try it yet? gdault, any more experience with it? I saw a big display in GC last time I was there.
