Default Attaching images to a post

I'm new to posting on a forum, so I wondered if anyone could help me? I'd like to upload some photos of one of my guitars (from a folder in my "My Pictures" file , Windows 7 ) into a post on a thread. Truth is, I'm not sure how, or if, I can do this?

The best way is to go to Photobucket.com and open a free account. Then upload your photos to there. Then when you want to post a photo on the forum you simply put the photobucket link of your picture into the window that pops up when you click the picture icon when composing your reply. The picture icon is just to the right of the world icon in the reply window.

Photobucket is probably the easiest. I like to upload my photos to Picasa via my Google account. From there you can get the direct link like with Photobucket, but there are options for resizing, linking to the photo, etc. and there's lots of storage space.
