Default Direct-out recording (not really modeling?)

    OK,

I'm duly blown out by the JVM Marshall's DI sounds. They are INCREDIBLE.

Here's a quick 3-track recording; I just play direct from my JVM out (I have a noisegate in the loop and some verb added) on three of it's channels over EZDrummer backing. Normal master compression I use to MP3.

I think it's incredibly good...NO EQ NO FX NOTHING done to the tracks, it's just as it comes out of DI. Just...unbelievable, IMO.
I've never even played a modeler I didn't have to at least EQ some after it's recorded...

    Listen, comment, plz!

Pretty cool. That does sound really good for a direct out on an amp -- they're usually not so great.

Yep, this is the first one that sounds pretty much just as it does thru the cab. Even better than Tech-21 XLR out, which was also pretty good. I don't think I could get that nice a sound using a 57 in front of the speaker.

I think I'll be happy using that D/I, add some EQ and maybe cab models from Amplitube to taste.
