Default $75 Tele day - act quickly

Looking for a traditional Telecaster type guitar with a fat neck? They'll be going fast at $75

I had one of those. I actually liked the beefy neck on it, and it felt like one of those guitars you wouldn't mind throwing around.

I was sorely tempted by that one, although I don't care for white. If it were something other than white or black and had a humbucker in the neck position...well, then it wouldn't be $75.

Edit: Just checked, and there's 19 left in stock.

They might have a large rout under the neck pickup because the same model comes with a bucker or P90. Or you can install a quality single sized humbucking pickup and still be in pretty cheap.

I fit a P90 in the neck pocket in the one Eric traded me. No mods needed to the body (pickguard however is another story). The bridge route was dodgy. I had to enlarge it to put a replacement PUP in. I traded the guitar to someone over at TDPRI. He stripped the neck. Loves the guitar. It has a nice fat neck profile, if you like that sort of thing.

I've been eyeing the strats from that site and it seems like you guys are pretty satisfied with the quality. Just might have to pull the trigger. I'm assuming the single coil pup tone is pretty decent?

Yep. He didn't like the P90 very much. That guy lives one town over from me. We've talked about getting together to play, but have not followed through.

$75 and a can of spray lacquer is still a smokin' deal on a playable T style guitar.

It would be a fun project platform for sure. If my son was interested I might go for it. But I like my CV too much to waste time messing around with one for me. I'll see what my son thinks.

Well Bob, you're right. Thing is, I already have a Tele project that is taking me way too long to finish.
