    Default Erotic Cakes

I've been listening to Guthrie Govan's album "Erotic Cakes" lately and I'm not sure if I should just give up trying to play guitar all together or just acknowledge the master and admit my inabilities. He truly is a master if not "the" master.

I always dug "Fives" and "Sevens", but that whole damn album kills.

I'd do the latter. Some things are unattainable, that's just how it is.
Some artists are just unbelievably, off-the-chart good, and most mere mortals will not get there.

This is not to say give up, no, never quit! Keep practicing, be the absolute best you can be.
You may just find some other calling in that musical journey.

Wow, Spud. I thought about packing it in after I saw some 10 year old on Letterman playing guitar where he made me feel like I just picked the instrument up.
