    Default Strings for a Ric

Hi, everybody. I'm having a hard time finding replacement strings for my sons Ric 4003. The gauge sizes that it came with and are listed in the manual don't match any conventional string package that we can find anywhere. Anyone else have this problem and what is your solution? Thanks.

If your son is happy with the Ric strings then you can order direct from Rickenbacker:

Otherwise, there's no law that says you have to use the exact same gauge or type strings. Find something close. You may have to adjust intonation at the bridge (adjust the saddles), but that's a task that inevitably will need to be learned anyway.
