Default Gibson releases new Epiphone Tribute Plus LP's - watch out!

MF, no affln., has the new Epiphone Tribute Plus Lp's for sale, with nice flamed maple tops and all the great appointments of the earlier Epi Les Paul Tribute with the Gibson USA 57 and 57 plus pickups, etc. They even have split coils. Really nice guitars with supposedly excellent quality control; built at the Epiphone plant in China that is staffed by dudes that were moved from Nashville to manage the China plant. They even have mother of pearl inlays.

    Could this be:

Major changes to guitars and amps, to be updated soon.

    Guitars: Lots.
    Amphs: More than last year.
Pedals: Many, although I go straight from guitar to amp more often lately.

So basically, these are exactly the same as the Tributes that Duffy and I have, with the exception of the flame top. Mine is one of my favorite guitars, so it's nice to see Epi offering these.

I'm sure I saw it at MF's site or catalog. Can't now either.

Here is a link to the wine red flamed maple one though:

I was playing my regular Epi Tribute cherry burst plain top today thru my new, brand new NOS Vox VT30 Valvetronix "Chromie" and it sounded great. That Chromie is a neat and fun amp. I got a great deal, 120 out the door after some negotiating. A great music store is a couple blocks from our house.

I think my Epi Tribute LP is an awesome guitar. It has something about it that really captures the Les Paul persona vibe, especially when light hits it a certain way. I think it is a really nice tribute to the man himself. They did this one right.
