I bought 3 boxes of Winchester 9mm PDX1 124 +Ps and took one box along with a box of Federal Champions 115 FMJs to the range. Shot up the box of Feds with no issue and loaded the Sigma 9 up with PDX1s. Racked one in and I noticed the slide didn't go to battery then found the slide is stuck. I thought WTH and I had to bump the slide in before it'll open. I looked at the bullet and noticed something wrong with it. I emptied the mag and found another one. Checked the box and it's ok.

When I got home I checked the remaining two boxes and found 3 more. Here's the 5 rounds next to the good two rounds. See the difference?

The fellas on a couple of gun forums thinks they loaded a wrong bullet in a 9mm case. It looks like a 38/357 bullet.

Here's the good and the bad in a barrel.

Wow, kiteman, be careful! That's a serious QC issue. I'd fire off an email to Winchester about this.

For the record, I've never really been a fan of +P ammo. Even if the gun is rated for the extra pressures, each round punishes a gun that much more. Better to go up in caliber, IMO. But then again, I'm from the big bullet/lower velocity school, especially after having owned / shot a Glock in .357 SIG.

    Whoa! That's pretty bad.

Good stuff to know if you shoot a 9.

I once had a Federal .22 burst the barrel of my Remington Nylon 66. Frankenfretter was the one firing it at the time.

    Pretty well destroyed that gun.

Ugh. I always load mine as weak as possible but still meet the speed requirements. Been reloading same cartridges up to 6 times at least, some maybe more. I discard them when they crack.

Once I put double the powder accidentally in a .40 but the gun was a H&k UPS expert and it took it ok...mighty bang though.
