    Default DeArmond Starfire Special?

Any of you guys know anything about the reputation/value of this guitar? There's a mint condition used one for sale on my local Craigslist, complete with a nice HSC. The guy is asking $525, but it doesn't say "firm". Licensed Bigsby tailpiece, DeArmond 2K 'pups, gorgeous vintage sunburst. Tempting, but I really am not familiar w/ these guitars. All informed input welcome!

A Korean licensed copy of the Guild Starfire III. The only one I ever handled was very nice but really heavy for a semi-solid. Sounded great through a Peavey Classic in the shop but an Epi Casino won my hollow body allowance in the end. After not buying that one for about 400 pounds, I saw one in a local 2nd hand shop. They wanted 1395 for it. I had to laugh.

Ditto what markb said about the weight. I have one myself and love the way it plays and sounds, however it is heavier than I expected for semi-hollow. I haven't played a 335 in decades so I can't really compare the weight. I also have a regular DeArmond Starfire which doesn't weigh much less than the Special, and an Ibanez AM73, which is a lighter still but with a smaller body, too. $525 is a good starting price to negotiate from. I've seen a lot of folks asking $750 for one in presumably near mint condition with the ohsc.
